Substrate for cathepsin B and porcine pancreatic and human leukocyte elastases. It is also hydrolyzed by chymotrypsin and trypsin as well as by the respective zymogens, especially chymotrypsinogen. The catalytic activity of both chymotrypsinogen and trypsinogen is increased at high ionic strength.
